She hides from the accusations under her cowl, her hand covers her face from the light. No matter how she hides her despair, shame and guilt, it eats away from the inside out.
The world outside remains regardless, the true demons are inside. Hide in shadows if you must from time to time, but remain to long and become the shadows themselves... ~El Morro Cemetary, San Juan/Puerto Rico I loved how the statue was perfect until the face itself was being overgrown with fungus, only on the face that was already trying to hide in shadow, like there was never enough hiding, never enough to mask her sorrow/guilt. She just couldn't bear to see or be seen. |

We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it. Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you  the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on.
