Even on the most sedate of days, Mother Nature likes to remind you she is still there. At any moment, she can change her mind. Not a threat, just a reminder. She waits and bides her time, playing to no-one's schedule...

This was a mini water spout that randomly formed and danced around the stern of a passenger ship I was on in the Caribbean. It crossed within a hundred feet, internittently dissolving and dancing back into existence, enthralling and alarming the others who didn't know whether to worry or go back to the buffet
